“My name is Devin Rydel Kelly and I’m honored to represent District 4 on the 2026 Pierce County Charter Review Commission. Thanks to the over 14,500 voters who supported my people-powered vision of a charter that works for all with over 54 percent of the vote.”

i ran as a champion of
working class issues and politics, including
expanding democratic access to county council
Diversify through more districts or ranked-choice voting
protecting our most vulnerable residents
Codifying immigrant, LGBTQIA+, workplace, and labor rights
holding elected leaders accountable to local + state laws
Moving to an appointed, accountable sheriff’s office that respects WA’s inclusive, democratically decided laws over arbitrary presidential decrees

As a commissioner, I will fight to follow through on all of these promises and much more.
This is crucially important in this movement of Trumpism, attacks on democratic rights everywhere, and extreme state repression against peaceful protest.
I will be sending bi-weekly emails and social media posts about public comment opportunities and amendments I have introduced or opposed. Please sign up for my newsletter, or consider following my campaign (not official Charter Review Commissioner) pages on Bluesky or Facebook.
The single best thing you can do is show up for democracy
The Charter Review Commission meets weekly at 6pm on Mondays
in the Pierce County Annex building at 2401 S 35th Street, Tacoma or over Zoom
Please visit the Charter Review website for information on our meetings, agendas, process, and amendments under consideration. You can also sign up for updates, contact my Charter Review Commission email directly, and message all commissioners.
